The Michael Cart Memorial Presentation by Angelica Shirley Carpenter. Angelica was the founding curator of the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at California State University, Fresno, and is the author of multiple books, including biographies of Frank Baum, Lewis Carroll, Frances Hodgson Burnett and Robert Louis Stevenson as well as books on suffragists. Michael Cart was on the Arne Nixon Center’s Board of Directors for many years and donated his Walter R. Brooks collection to the library.
